Thoughtful philanthropy has the power to strengthen communities by supporting the people, programs, and institutions that contribute to long-term well-being.
The Community Trust Foundation (CTF) is pleased to announce the establishment of the AllwaysBetter–Trade Masters Fund, a fund created in 2025 by Matthew and Kelli Allaway to support charitable initiatives benefiting the Foundation’s geographic service region.
The fund is intended to strengthen and sustain the skilled trades, including support for individuals and small businesses working in fields such as plumbing, electrical, and other essential trades. Its focus is on practical enablement—helping trades professionals build, maintain, and grow their work and enterprises in ways that contribute to the long-term health of local communities.
The AllwaysBetter–Trade Masters Fund is designed to provide ongoing charitable support over time. The fund allows for flexibility in responding to evolving community needs while ensuring long-term stewardship and accountability through professional management by the Community Trust Foundation.
“This fund reflects a thoughtful approach to community investment,” said Pamela Twigg, Executive Director of the Community Trust Foundation. “By focusing on the skilled trades, it recognizes the essential role these professions play in sustaining local economies and everyday community life.”
“Strong communities are built by people who work with their hands, take pride in their craft, and show up every day to serve others. By investing in the skilled trades, we hope to support the individuals and small businesses that keep our communities running and create opportunities that last for generations.”
