The Community Trust Foundation (CTF) is pleased to announce the establishment of the Loving Families Fund, a new field of interest fund created in 2026 by Charlene Platter to support families and individuals throughout Allegany County.
The fund will support programs within CTF’s Vibrant Communities & Thriving Environment area of giving, including efforts that strengthen families, invest in emerging adults, and support end-of-life work.
“A healthy community starts with healthy families. I have spent years seeking to positively impact families through my professional work and my faith. I am hopeful this fund will influence family-wellbeing both now and into the future,” said Platter.
As a field of interest fund at CTF, the Loving Families Fund allows the donor to identify a charitable area of interest while providing CTF with the flexibility to respond to changing community needs and opportunities over time. Through CTF’s grantmaking process, charitable organizations whose work aligns with the fund’s purpose may receive support for programs and initiatives benefiting Allegany County families.
