First United Bank & Trust has Pledged to Support CTF

First United Bank & Trust has pledged support to the Community Trust Foundation’s (CTF) efforts of building flexible granting resources for nonprofits in the region.  “More responsive funding in our service area has been at the forefront of our minds as we see an increase in grant requests that we lack targeted funding to address,” says Leah Shaffer, executive director of CTF. “The leadership of organizations like First United is crucial, not only in growing the county funds, but in raising the public’s awareness of the need.”

“First United Bank & Trust is pleased to continue our long-standing partnership with the Community Trust Foundation and to be able to provide this donation to fund their Community Impact Funds in Garrett, Allegany, and Mineral counties. They are a key partner in helping to build stronger and vibrant communities.” commented Keith Sanders. Contributions to these three different funds are used expressly for needs arising in each respective county. CTF makes it easy for people of all income levels to support good things in their community.

Community Trust Foundation (CTF) is your local community foundation created with gifts from generous people committed to local causes. Through the support of its donors, the Foundation grants to local nonprofit organizations working to build a stronger community in the areas of Arts & Historical Preservation, Health & Wellness, Vibrant Communities & Thriving Environment, and Education & Youth Leadership. Connecting philanthropy with community good in Allegany, Garrett, and Mineral Counties. FOR GOOD – FOREVER.
