Prior to Marion’s teaching career, she was successful in both retail management and as a financial planner. Since her retirement, Marion has devoted her life to programs that enhance our region’s quality of life and wellbeing. 

Being grateful for living in a beautiful region and believing in “giving back” to the place she calls home, Marion dedicates her time, talent, and treasure to building vibrant communities in Allegany, Garrett, and Mineral County. She was the founding president of the Community Wellness Coalition, former president and board member of the Allegany Arts Council, founding member of the Allegany County Dolly Parton Imagination Library program, and served on the FSU Foundation Board for many years.

Marion is one of the founding board members of the Community Trust Foundation.
