History lives not only in documents and artifacts, but in the places that allow us to step into the stories that shaped our communities.
The Community Trust Foundation (CTF) is pleased to announce the establishment of the Friends of Ashby’s Fort Project Fund, a fund created in partnership with Friends of Ashby’s Fort, Inc. to support the preservation and interpretation of one of Mineral County’s most significant historic landmarks.
Originally established to support the reconstruction of the fort’s southwest bastion and south wall, the purpose of the fund has been expanded to allow for a broader range of historically related projects that enhance public understanding of Ashby’s Fort and its legacy.
“By supporting preservation alongside education and interpretation, this fund helps ensure that history remains visible, meaningful, and accessible for future generations,” said Pamela Twigg, Executive Director of the Community Trust Foundation.
As a component fund of the Community Trust Foundation, the Friends of Ashby’s Fort Project Fund will be professionally managed and administered in accordance with CTF’s policies, ensuring responsible stewardship and alignment with charitable purposes.
