⚠️ Scam Alert: Fraudulent Email Targeting Board Members
We have been made aware of a fraudulent email circulating with the subject line:
“CTF–Newsletter Subscription Due Payment/Reimbursement”
It appears that scammers are targeting our board members by requesting payment through Zelle or PayPal and promising reimbursement.
The message reads:
“This year newsletter subscription charges are currently due. I’m not available to process the payment at this time. I’m currently out of town and will return March 9. Can you cover the payment on our behalf today with Zelle or PayPal? I’ll handle your reimbursement when I return.”
Please be advised:
This email is NOT from CTF.
CTF will never request personal payment or reimbursement through Zelle, PayPal, or similar platforms.
Do not respond, click links, or send funds.
If you receive this message or anything similar, please delete it immediately and notify us directly at our official email address.
