$900 was granted for the Rain Barrel Program conducted by the DCWF in partnership with the University of Maryland Extension Service as part of its Water-Wise Program to reduce the amount of pollution and sediment that ends up in Deep Creek Lake. Workshops are held throughout the year to educate participants on how to install and use the rain barrels and then the participants are given a rain barrel to install and use at their home.
